Only UKIP has a grammar school scheme to fight increasing truancy in Harrow

There were approximately 40 expulsions and 650 suspensions last year in Harrow. School truancy is a significant
problem. We in UKIP offer a unique solution that other Parties are not matching. Firstly we will make the top two
performing state schools independent grammar schools. This will mean that due to competition for places, bright
pupils will not be affected by miscreants. Further, there will be a social school attitudes scheme, which will allow parent of truant children to work with schools to redress behaviour, rather than marginalise kids. This is because there are many reasons
why kids underperform, I know this from teaching myself. This will allow us to get the best out of the worst kids- what I call
the true 'challenge' of teaching.

To discuss this further please email me, I would love to hear your views, on pandya4harrow@gmail.com

Save our Pub: The Fat Controller.

It's a shame that 'The Fat Controller' in Station Road is out of use. The British pub forms a key part of British Culture,
and we in UKIP have our own campaign against pub closures: http://www.ukip.org/content/leading-articles/932-save-the-british-pub

I sincerely hope that the pub can be operational again, as it provides an opportunity for local relaxation, entertainment and for social interaction in the community.

Congratulations to Kenneth W Reed & Associates for nomination.

Harrow Architects Kenneth W Reed & Associates, have won a nomination for the Harrow Architecture award for their fantastic design of Ormont in Harrow Park. Other local architectural projects for Harrow nominated are the Krishna Avanti Primary School in Edgware and the Pinner Methodist Church. It is great to see the spirit of competition working in Harrow to maintain its beauty.

Welcome to UKIP's Harrow East Campaign.

Hi, I am Abhijit Pandya and I am standing for Parliament for Harrow East. I am standing because I feel that the three big parties, LIb, Lab, Con have not done enough to reform the Parliamentary system to prevent further corruption and abuse of the expenses system.

However, I am also standing because I was born in Edgware and have lived in Harrow for over 15 years. I am deeply concerned how the recession has effected our economy, and particularly the lack of national and international investment in Harrow. When I was younger the Kodak factory used to employ thousands of people. Now it only employs several hundred. Harrow has fantastic links to international airports and Central London, yet fewer and fewer businesses start here.

This has to change. I want to work with local enterprise and increase it, to create a vibrant dynamic Harrow with new job opportunities. I think this is only possible with the low-tax enterprising schemes of UKIP. Unfortunately the Conservative Party has mirrored too many labour policies, and thus will not be able to make the critical changes in the recession we are looking for.

As a former worker in Northwick Park Hospital I know how much that hospital means to you and to me. I will endeavour to look into new NHS management strategies and reduce waiting lists. I will make the hospital cleaner, and more efficient.

Finally, I am here to listen to you, and not to dictate complex policies from above. I want you to have the Harrow you want and to use local taxes and other revenue most effectively to your wishes. It is your Harrow as much is it is mine, let's get together and make it as brilliant as I know it can be.
